Amalie Eilertsen Founder, CEO of Norsjór
Norsjór was established to tackle a significant issue in ship hull fouling. Complying with current and forthcoming regulations for underwater biofouling removal, Norsjór has devised a technology that safeguards marine ecosystems 🌊🦐 through the use of radiation. They're now in the process of building a state-of-the-art subsea laser system 🔬🌊, designed to efficiently disable biofouling organisms' cells while minimizing harm to the ecosystem, including the spread of invasive species, toxins, microplastics, and heavy metals 🌍♻️.
"We drive sustainable change in the maritime industry by creating innovative and highly effective solutions that inspire regulatory and behavioral shifts 🚢🌱."
Furthermore, Norsjór has been recognized as one of the world's top ten biofouling innovators by the World Ocean Council & The Ocean Opportunity Lab 🌎🌟.
Amalie holds a Master's degree in entrepreneurship and innovation from the UiA Business School and has prior experience as a project manager while working as a nurse 👩⚕️. Additionally, she serves on the board of NPF Sørlandet 📚.
