Lili Dreyer Founder, CEO of VAER

VAER breathes new life into discarded textiles, crafting valuable products from textile waste. They champion the power of upcycling, aiming to revive imperfect fabrics—fashioning one shoe at a time. With just 1% of discarded textiles currently recycled into new fashion, VAER seeks to shift this statistic, driven by their founder Lili's thesis project exploring the creation of sneakers from textile waste. These funky sneakers are the tangible result of her vision, marking the beginning of VAER's journey to transform old textiles into innovative footwear.

They are the first company globally specializing in producing upcycled sneakers on a large scale. Their team of passionate sustainability advocates and designers collaborates daily to tackle the issue of textile waste overload, aiming to drive towards a waste-free fashion industry.

Recently, they launched their latest collaboration where they transformed discarded Europcar uniforms into stylish sneakers and fleece jackets.

Lili holds a Bachelor's degree in Project Management from Copenhagen Business School and later pursued an MSc in Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, and Design at Brunel University London.

We look forward to seeing what inspiring products they will develop in the future.
